Manipal, 2 nd October 2022: As part of the ‘National Voluntary Blood Donation Day’ the Health and Social Welfare Committee of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal has organized a Blood Donation drive on 01 st October, 2022 at Blood Bank, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal between 9am and 6pm.
It was open to all. A total of 72 students, eight faculty from Manipal College of Nursing, and 10 staff from constitutent institutions volunteered to donate the blood and among them, after the initial screening 60 were eligible to donate.
The event was coordinated by the student chairperson of Health and Social Welfare Committee Ms. Anusha Varughese, 4 th year BSc(N) and the Secretary, Health and Social Welfare Committee, .Ms.Nivya Binoy from 3 rd year BSc(N), MCON under the guidance of Dr.Melita Sheilini, Assistant Professor-Selection Grade, Faculty advisor and Mrs.Savitha Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Faculty Co-advisor, Health and Social Welfare Committee.
