October 14: iTALK serves as a platform where thought leaders, achievers, entrepreneurs, and societal contributors come together to share their experiences and knowledge through 8-minute segments, aiming to inspire the next generation of leaders.
The second edition of iTALK took place in Manipal on Saturday, October 14, 2023. This event was presented jointly by the Department of Commerce (DoC), Manipal, MAHE and the Indian Bureau of Administrators and Technocrats (I-BAT).
Commander Dr. Anil Rana, Director of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal inaugurated the event and delivered an inaugural address. He said that leadership demands adaptability and foresight in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. Embracing change is now a hallmark of effective leaders.
Dr. Prabhakar Joshi, a recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, delivered the keynote address. The event showcased a diverse group of speakers, including Dr. Rahul Magazine, Professor and Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at KMC-Manipal, MAHE.
Dr. Maneesh Thomas, CEO of Manipal-GoK Bio Incubator; Dr. Rachna, a specialist from Emergency Medicine at KMC, Manipal, Mr. Navaneeth Ganesh, a scholar from IISc; Mr. Shreepathy R. Bhat, a PhD Scholar from MIT, and Mr. Venumadhav Bhat M., a noted cine artist.
Dr. Sandeep Shenoy, Head of DOC-Manipal, warmly welcomed all attendees. K. Rajaram Shetty, the President of I-BAT and a Chartered Accountant, provided insights into the initiatives of I-BAT and the essence of iTALK. Dr. Dasharathraj K. Shetty proposed a vote of thanks.
The proceedings were smoothly orchestrated by hosts Dr. Everil Fernandes and Mr. Vittal Kamath. Additionally, Organizing Committee members, including Mr. Prasad Rao, Dr. Vikram Baliga, Dr. Rita Rani Chopra, and Dr. Ambigai Rajendran, were present on occasion.
